As
a preparation for Datuk Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor to go this astronaut program
,he had to complete many test to bring him up to the standard of qualification
of the program. One of the test is the winter survival test that held in
astronaut center in Star City ,Moscow ,Rusia. When tested , he face endurance
test with temperatures below freezing. The test is important to ensure his
mental and physical strength in facing many obstacles to realizing the
Malaysian ‘s citizen dream to see a successful astronaut into space. Besides
,as a Muslim he also have to learn how to make a ‘tayamum’ because there is
limited use of water to perform prayer in space.
